Shaun Ziegenfusz

Dr Shaun Ziegenfusz is a speech pathologist, lecturer, researcher, and advocate with a strong focus on Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). He is a Lecturer in Speech Pathology at Griffith University and Co-CEO and Co-Founder of The DLD Project, a social enterprise dedicated to improving awareness, support, and outcomes for individuals with DLD and their families. Shaun also serves as Chair of The DLD Project Foundation, Australia’s peak body supporting people with DLD.

 As a practising speech pathologist, Shaun has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and educators across school and community settings. His research focuses on the educational experiences, support needs, and service systems surrounding people with DLD. He has a particular interest in improving access, advocacy, and evidence-based support across health and education sectors. Shaun is also an International Committee member for Raising Awareness of Developmental Language Disorder (RADLD). In this role, he contributes to global awareness initiatives that reach more than 30 countries.
